A graduate of the University of Virginia, Ms. Clemans began her career in advertising working in both the United States and the Czech Republic. She received a Master of Business Administration in International Business through the University of South Carolina, in partnership with ESCP Europe in Paris where she worked for Cambridge Technology Partners while completing coursework.
She merged her business background and the experience of a youth well spent in pre-professional classical ballet training to serve as Producer and Assistant Professor in the Department of Dance & Choreography at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts. There Ms. Clemans funded, promoted and produced the creative work of VCU Dance faculty, students, and alumni. She oversaw the presentation of internationally renowned guest artists, taught the business of Dance Management, and was an advisor for senior thesis productions.
Her skill set has served her well as an independent marketing and development consultant working in New York, San Francisco and Charleston, with a portfolio of clients including Spoleto Festival USA, Condé Nast, DanceUSA, The Headhunters NYC, VCUarts, and The Depot, the nation’s second oldest youth center.
As Collegiate School’s Director of Economic and Entrepreneurship Education, Ms. Clemans works to promote economic literacy and social entrepreneurship learning at Collegiate and throughout the metro Richmond area.
