Garret Westlake is a serial entrepreneur, disability advocate, and higher education professional who leads by example. He uses his personal experience with dyslexia to inspire, motivate, and change attitudes about the role of diversity and disability in business, education, and society. Dr. Westlake has served as the Coordinator of Disability Services for Volunteer State Community College, the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Disability Resources at Arizona State University, and in leadership roles for the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) and Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA). Previously he was the Associate Dean of Student Entrepreneurship in the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Arizona State University – ranked #1 for Innovation in 2015 by U.S. News and World Report. He is currently an associate professor of business and the executive director of the da Vinci Center for Innovation at Virginia Commonwealth University.
