CSEI Application Process

The CSEI 2020 applications will be posted December 1, 2019.

Students will need to commit to participating in the entire 2020 CSEI Program that runs July 6th – July 31st from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will receive a $500 stipend upon completion of the program.

As a matter of reference, following is the CSEI 2019 Application timeline.

DECEMBER 1, 2018
Applications posted (powelledfoundation.org) and open to all high school juniors in the footprint of the Capital Region Collaborative including the City of Richmond, the Town of Ashland, and the Counties of Charles City, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, Powhatan and New Kent.

JANUARY 7, 2019
Application and recommendation submission deadline on powelledfoundation.org

FEBRUARY 4, 2019
Finalists selected for an interview notified.

FEBRUARY 24, 2019
Finalists interviews. Attendees meet applicants from area high schools, participate in a team-building activity, and learn more about CSEI.

MID-MARCH 2019
Notification of acceptance.

MARCH 29, 2019
CSEI 2018 commitment form due accepting full participation in the entire CSEI program.

APRIL 7, 2019
Student and parent program orientation,  4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

JULY 8 – AUGUST 2, 2019
CSEI 2019 Program, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

AUGUST 2, 2019
CSEI 2019 Public Share, 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
