Because planning is complicated by the uncertainties surrounding COVID-19, CSEI company partners will not be able to commit to an in-person experience by Feb. 15. CSEI will plan for two possible scenarios: in-person on Collegiate’s campus as well as in-person with shared time on-site with partner companies. CSEI will be guided by Collegiate’s School Leadership as to the safest option closer to the program dates.

All high school juniors living in the greater metro Richmond area including but not limited to the City of Richmond, the Town of Ashland, and the Counties of Charles City, Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, Powhatan and New Kent are invited to apply.

A school teacher, coach or administrator recommendation is required with application. Learn more about the required recommendation here.

While our hope is that CSEI 2022 will meet in person and on sites throughout Richmond, we are prepared for in-person, blended or virtual learning with the use of technology tools.

Students applying to CSEI 2022, please know:

1) If selected as a finalist, an interview is required. The interview consists of applicants meeting applicants from area high schools, participating in a team-building activity, and learning more about CSEI.

2) Attendance is mandatory for the four weeks of the CSEI program.

3) Hours of the program are 8:30 to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on Friday, July 29 when the program will end at 11:30 a.m. after final presentations.

4) If accepted, attendance is mandatory at a virtual orientation one Sunday in early May from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Date to be confirmed as soon as possible.

TUES., FEB. 15, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. Applications close.

LATE FEBRUARY, EARLY MARCH 2022 Finalists selected for an interview notified.

MARCH 2022 Finalists interviews. Attendees meet applicants from area high schools, participate in a team-building activity, and learn more about CSEI.

LATE MARCH 2022 Accepted students notified.

APRIL 2022 Commitment form accepting full participation in the entire CSEI program is due.

DATE TBC SUNDAY MAY 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. CSEI 2022 Student/Parent mandatory Meeting to review program expectations and structure.
